A Dietitian is a healthcare professional with a Bachelor's degree in food and nutrition. A dietitian puts knowledge into practice by training in a hospital or similar setting. Many dietitians have graduate degrees as well.
A Registered Dietitian (RD) is a dietitian who successfully completes a rigorous professional level exam and must maintain ongoing continuing education to maintain his/her credentials. RDs are also regulated by state governments.
